Software Design Engineer in Test

Our client is the Pacific Northwest's hugely popular tech corporation seeking a qualified SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER IN TEST to work with the platform and services that will be consumed by GAME customers.

This contract position is expected to be 1 year in duration.

OVERVIEW

- Participate in daily standup/scrum meetings
- Execute test passes (automated/manual)
- Run code-coverage tests
- Investigate test failures, file bugs
- Implement any test fixes
- Run BVTs, troubleshoot, report and escalate as necessary
- Manage and maintain the test lab environment
- Manage the deployment (and communication) of the product to the partner environment and production environment

QUALIFICATIONS

- 6 months -1 year software testing experience in a web-based or Windows Client Server environment required
- Strong testing aptitude and knowledge of test methodologies
- Good programming skills
- TFS, Visual Studio, and PowerShell skills preferred
- Experience with batch files and command-line Windows utilities may be required
- Knowledge of software quality assurance practices
- Familiarity with C# may be asked to modify or add to automation scripts
- Familiarity with.NET and SML framework may be required
- Compiler preprocessor preferred
- Knowledge of personal computer hardware may be required
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technical Certifications preferred
