Software Design Engineer in Test

This is a contract opportunity on a team whose purpose is to make client products work well on and with open source technologies as well as competing technologies. The current project revolves around Redis.

JOB SUMMARY

- Own the design and implementation of a full end to end stress test of this application.
- Run stress tests on both versions 32 bit and unreleased 64 bit
- Leverage current unit tests and be responsible for such things as memory dumps and tracking performance count.
- Own the following end- to- end: Design, implementation, investigation, proposal of a fix and implementation of the fix
- Review code in collaboration with a Developer on the team
- Build libraries with "how to"s, code samples and ideas for making the application compatible

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- VERY STRONG STRESS TESTING EXPERIENCE
- The application itself is written in C++ so when they investigate failures they will need to dig into the code.
- JavaScript skills for use with existing unit tests
- Ability to review C++ to dig into source code
- Ability to design, implement and investigate a test plan
- Large enterprise software experience a plus
- Possibility of telecommuting for this position

This is a 2-3 month contract with possible extension.
