SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER FOLSOM, CA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

This role is to develop customer reference designs and solutions that are industry appropriate in the IoT verticals of industrial, energy and transportation. This role requires a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline with 10+ years' experience in platform/software development. Successful candidates will have broad technical ability across many platforms.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

- .NET, WinForm, WPF, ASP.NET, Interfacing with unmanaged code from .NET
- Java, NodeJS, and/or Python development experience
- C and C++ experience
- Cloud platform development including using hosted applications to accelerate development
- Windows or Linux Driver Development a plus
- Configuration, management, maintenance of various Linux operating systems in an Enterprise environment
- Experience with Embedded Windows, Embedded Linux (WR Linux, Yocto), Android, and Real Time OS
- Customer facing experience assisting with the architecture and design of end to end systems
- Understanding of software stack from FW/BIOS, bootloader, OS, driver, Middleware to application
- Familiarity with security (platform, data, network) and McAfee products
- Familiarity with Manageability (remote device manageability, infrastructure)
