Software Design Engineer

*OUR SUPER HIGH-VISIBILITY CLIENT IS GEARING UP TO SHIP A HUGE PRODUCT AND HAS AN URGENT BUSINESS NEED FOR A DEVELOPER TO ASSIST WITH THE RUN UP TO LAUNCH.*

This candidate will work with the PM to create a tool or set of tools that will run a series of checks relating to the structure and composition of titles that customers build for the newest games console. These will require operations such as scanning EXE and DLL files for certain byte signatures, running various existing tools and capturing the output and results, checking for the presence of required and prohibited files, and capturing particular versioning information. This candidate will not only execute on the plan but also work interactively with the PM to define the plan based on business needs.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Work within the team engineering best practices and requirements relating to source control and issue tracking.
- Write C/C# code to perform and organize a variety of code analysis tasks.
- Work with the PM to design the best ways to deliver on the functional requirements.
- Understand technically detailed aspects of a complex system that our developer customers work within on the platform.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

- 4 plus years work related experience preferred
- C/C++
- C#
- Command Line/PowerShell Scripting
- Signing and hashing
- Ability to push ahead without extremely detailed direction and guidance
- Familiarity with code analysis tools like BinScope, FXCop, etc., a plus
- Understanding of the Portable Executable file structure a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field

This contract position is expected to be 4 months in duration.
