Software Design Engineer

Our client is the most recognized software company in the industry looking for a talented Developer to help take existing prototypes to an almost product release state, and to also build new ones. The work will involve building UIs that allow users to browse active projects, to follow projects of interest, and to receive related updates. The work will also involve using the SharePoint API, authenticate users, configure access control, upload, edit, retrieve documents, etc. There is also a need to build an intra-projects search capability, a basic keyword search implementation.

The Developer will be working in a small team environment, so the ability to be a self-starter key. In addition, the ability to work under ambiguous conditions with little direction is also needed. You must have excellent communication skills, as you will be interacting with Researchers, Research managers, and RSDEs.

TASKS TO INCLUDE:

- Debugging and fixing bugs
- Discussing code design and implementation with Researchers and RSDEs
- Making recommendations for application architectural design
- Coding and implementation of new project features using C#, JavaScript, HTML5

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong application development/debugging experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong development skills in C#,.NET
- Strong development skills in JavaScript/HTML5/UI design
- Strong Client Server development experience
- Good technical design and implementation skills
- SharePoint SDK development experience preferred
- Outlook API development experience preferred
- Lync API development experience preferred
- JQuery development experience preferred
- Must be highly self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment

This is a 3 month contract position with the possibility of a full year extension.
