SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT ENGINEER - BUILD AND RELEASE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Beaverton, OR.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Software Configuration Engineer is expected to focus primarily on configuration management and participate in all phases of software development life cycle for new applications
- Software Configuration Engineer will include source control, builds, configuration management, packaging, tool automation, and other aspects of configuration management for a large software code base.
- Software Configuration Engineer will work with the application development team to define source control policies, will develop and use tools to build and then enforce such policies.
- Software Engineer will also be expected to work and own day to day responsibilities with minimum supervision.
- Monitor and maintain build and release infrastructure which includes Servers, permissions and disk resources needed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related subject matter
- Ten (10+) years in configuration management and system engineering
- Knowledge of programming languages: Java (server), C++ (Embedded applications), C (firmware)
- Experience with Git on external BitBucket site, JIRA in the Atlassian on-demand hosted environment, Bamboo
- Experience with Experience with Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Linux (RedHat/Ubuntu)
- Scripting skills for automation of the above tools

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket, GIT, Chef and AWS preferred
