Software Configuration Developer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION DEVELOPER to join our client in Wilmington, DE.

Job Responsibilities:

- Communicates with consultants on the use of configuration management software and practices.
- Validates system engineer plans, methods, and execution.
- Identifies configuration of software at specific points in time, systematically controls changes to configuration, and maintains integrity and traceability of the configuration throughout the software life cycle.
- Troubleshoots and triages system issues.
- Responds to questions about configuration management policies and procedures. Performs configuration verification audits.
- Manages the setup and maintenance of the suite of tools. Performs library control and product builds. Provides status accounting reports. Documents environment changes.
- Create and maintain build scripts for JAVA(Maven) and .NET applications(MSBuild)
- Expertise in using Maven to manage a project's build, reporting and documentation. Ability to write custom maven plugins is a plus.
- Create and maintain deployment scripts of Java/J2EE Applications to any Application Server
- Create and maintain deployment scripts of .NET applications to IIS Server
- Expertise in developing scripts using windows batch Scripting, Linux Shell Scripting, ant, Perl, Shell and beanshell.
- Expertise building and monitoring software projects continuously with a CI Tool like AnthillPro/Hudson/Cruise Control
- Experience writing implementation plans for installing software components on build agents, and working with application services team to execute the install
- Support QA regression deployments, monthly and weekly releases of applications
- Extensive experience with Maven build process and repository managers like Artifactory and Nexus.
- Three (3) plus years of experience of Subversion repository administration: create, load, dump and replay operations
- Manage branching (create branches, execute merges) and labeling strategies in Subversion, Accurev and VSS
- Provide direction to development teams on source code management for AGILE development teams
- Participate in release coordination and communication to stakeholders
- Create, manage and implement Configuration Management Plan
- Provide training for end users
- Good to have: working knowledge of Clearcase, AccuRev, GIT, Mercurial
- Administration on AntHillPro, Maven and Subversion, Accurev, VSS
- Performing maintenance and upgrade of tools
- Identify and implement integrations with other development tools such as VersionOne, etc

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- B.S. Degree, Computer Science, MIS or related work experience.
- Minimum five (5) years experience with software configuration management topics and techniques with at least four (4) or more years with agile development teams, including source control strategies and branching, continuous integration, build automation, deployment automation, and unit and acceptance testing tools.
- Five (5) plus years experience operating in a variety of software development methodologies, including waterfall, iterative, and agile methodologies.
