SOFTWARE BUILD EXPERT - EINDHOVEN - BUILD SYSTEM/MAKEFILES, LINUX/UNIX, SCRIPTING - PERL, SHELL
Location: Eindhoven (The Netherlands)
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months, on proven ability intending to hire for a longer time
Hours a week: 40

Motivation:
We need an experienced build specialist, who can work on redesigning the makefile/build system of our Litho build environment. The current build system needs to become more robust to enable future build improvement projects.

Job Description:
As a build expert you will be heavily involved in the discussion around the current build system. For this it is needed that you're able to get yourself comfortable in a make-based build system.

Together with our build specialists you will design the needed changes for improving our build system.

DELIVERABLES:

- Designs for the needed build changes
- Implementation of the needed build improvements

EXPERIENCE:

- Relevant experience and proven experience in large technical complicated development environments
- Build system/makefiles
- Linux/Unix
- Scripting (eg Perl, Shell)

PERSONAL SKILLS:

- Excellent communication skills are a must
- Able to handle stress due to issues from demanding customers that potentially disturb the work.
- Show initiative and problem solving attitude.
- Pragmatic, practical, flexible and committed to quality.
- Proficiency in the English language.

CONTEXT OF THE POSITION:

For ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all the clients internal and external activities.

A sub-department within the IT organization is IT CCP ST (Competence Center Product Solution Team); this department is responsible for the infrastructure and tooling for the clients development organization. Within IT CCP ST three development disciplines are represented: mechanical, electrical and software engineering. The senior SCM expert will be active in the software engineering group.
