SOFTWARE DEMAND MANAGER

On behalf of our client, a leading global company, we are looking for a SOFTWARE ASSET MANAGEMENT RESOURCE. For this contract position based in Zürich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Act as a software Demand Manager for the Private Banking Wealth Management & Shared Services IT management team
- Manage internal client relationship by clearly understanding their book of work, and attain a trusted advisor status for commercial activities related to software spend
- Review all proposed technology investments from your clients and ensure that they are strategically aligned with goals.
- Develop annual deal calendar and updated quarterly, which includes new spend and existing commitments (eg maintenance renewals)
- Collaborate with product managers and other internal clients to plan and optimize their capital spending, support them to navigate through spend governance processes
- Partner with the Sourcing & Vendor Management to create deal structures that optimizes cost and other terms for the full life cycle of the proposed investment
- Identify, analyse and pursue cost savings opportunities
- Participate and materially contribute in cross functional deal negotiation teams
- Track, document and report cost savings achieved
- Drive innovation by suggesting improvements/changes to current processes.
- Perform maintenance audits to ensure bank is invoiced appropriately.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- Over 6 years' experience in IT and/or sourcing
- Good understanding of banking software suppliers and application portfolio with cost management experience and commercial orientation
- Good understanding of software contract construction, software license measurements and experiences in negotiating software contracts, Software as a Service and other managed services agreements
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills in organizing, planning, and executing concurrent initiatives
- Listener who can understand business concerns and requirements and negotiate mutually acceptable creative solutions
- Ability to resolve conflicts in a constructive manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
