I am looking for a software asset management consultant to work for my government client, the role includes:-

* Facilitate the acquisition of new software licences and the renewal of annual maintenance agreements by raising the purchase requests.
* Manage the receipt, issue, control and account of all software assets.
* Ensure all software asset records within licensing tool are maintained accurately and timely to track all receipts and issues.
* Carry out regular software usage audits, inventory checks and condition surveys to ensure the software is correctly accounted for through the estate.
* Analyse software usage information for trends and non-compliance issues and remediate any issues.
* Support the budget forecasting cycle by identifying future software maintenance costs so that they can be budgeted for.
* Conduct Proof of Ownership audits of the licensing records.
* Update and verify software publishers licensing portals as required.
* Control and issue licences access codes and keys as required.
* Manage process improvement activities and implement process changes where appropriate.
* Assist the Procurement team in negotiations with software publishers.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and Experience:

* Understanding of ITIL.
* Experience within a Software Asset Management department.
* Attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills through e-mail, group meetings, telephone to management, engineers, customers, vendors and other business groups as required.
