Software Architect Embedded Software/Senior Security Architect

WESTHOUSE IS ACTIVELY SEARCHING FOR A SOFTWARE ARCHITECT EMBEDDED SOFTWARE/SENIOR SECURITY ARCHITECT.

CLIENT
Our client is a leading provider of innovations that are used in a wide range of automotive, identification, wireless infrastructure, lighting, industrial, and mobile consumer and computing applications. Currently, our client has operations in more than 25 countries that posted total revenue of more than $4 billion last year.

TEAM
The development team (30+ FTE) develops microchips for secure transactions and identifying people and objects. The chip encrypts personal information on ID cards (eg passports), credit/bank cards etc. The extensive knowledge in this team is second to none compared with the rest of the industry, and this is how the team manages to keep on surprising clients with remarkable fast delivery of complex solutions.

TASKS
- Create new break-through software/security architectures (from scratch,' so you will be responsible for the full cycle: from specification to architecture, design and implementation through to testing and review)
- To reach your goals you will need to make an inventory of existing knowledge in the two European locations involved
- End-to-end security architecture
- Define API
- You will need to operate in the area of Hardware and Software design, keeping all requirements in terms of performance, security, power budget, and reliability at balance.
- Key here is to be able to bridge the gap between the Hardware and Software teams

PROFILE
Extensive (10+ years) experience with:
- Embedded software
- Embedded system architecture
- Embedded security

Combined with experience and/or strong knowledge of:
- State-of-the-art security
- 8051
- ARM
- API
- Cryptography (eg AES)

The Software Architect that our client wants to meet is socially skilled; a strong communicator who is able to operate independently, as a quartermaster, but also as part of a result driven team. He or she shoes great creativity yet remains focus on challenging but achievable goals. The Software Architect will report directly to the development manager.

CONDITIONS
This freelance/contracting opportunity comes with a 12 month-contract and commitment for at least 24 months. It is mandatory that your work on the client site. So, if you are not from the Netherlands, you will have to relocate to the Netherlands for the duration of this project.
