SOFTWARE ARCHITECT/DEVELOPER

We are looking for a SW ARCHITECT/DEVELOPER for automation project in a large Service Provider Environment, with responsibility to design and build an application driven automation framework for a major project within the entertainment section, Working for one of the worlds largest telecommunications companies at the moment.

JOB PURPOSE

- The role is a key Software Architect position responsible for design/architecture of the automation framework for the Entertainment platform (Horizon) deployed across several of LG's operating countries
- The primary purpose of the SW Architect is to define strategy, tooling, code standards, workflows, etc. with regards to the build and development of Infrastructure as Code including an automation framework with elements of declarative automation model, state and orchestrator.
- The role will be responsible for business transformation from network centric to application centric deployment
- This role will drive Infrastructure as Code development by translating business requirements together with solution-, network- and cloud/infrastructure architects and into software and provide modular code that can meet scaling requirements and future demands
- This role will be driving the DevOps team building within technology and operations, closing loops between teams, and creating CICD standards.
- This role will be responsible to continuously present and demo the solution and education across departments.
- This role will perform across department boundaries, cooperating and contributing with other DevOps teams within technology and operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Architecture and Design of IaC and automation framework to support continuous integration of LGs entertainment platform
- Provide definition and clear documentation of the automation platform
- Primary goal is automation of cloud environment (network and compute), but driven by application requirements
- Work closely with NW and cloud architects and developers to define building blocks and new features
- Write clean, well-structured and maintainable code for demo purposes
- Design and develop in-life excellence solution like Fault identification, tolerance and recovery automations
- Actively participate in planning and management of platform development process
- Act as last tier for diagnosing issues, analysing the root causes and making preventive plans
- Explore new latest relevant technology, techniques, frameworks, tools, methodologies and processes

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Preferred education/qualifications:

- University degree (Bachelor or Masters) in Computer Science, Science, Mathematics or equivalent or be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge
- At least fluent spoken and written English
