Software Architect

Software Architect - Manchester - Up to £60,000

A North West based financial client is currently recruiting for a contract Software Architect to join their exciting java based development team.

The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering Service Oriented Architecture based solutions (REST / SOAP) in complex environments exhibiting scalability and performance architecture qualities. The successful candidate will be expected to show leadership and drive in the development of innovative software within an Agile environment across a complex system involving both hardware and embedded software applications.

Required experience / skills:

5+ years of Development Experience
Expertise in Java EE & Platforms / Frameworks (Spring, OSGi, Struts)
Deep understanding of Web Technologies: HTTP, SOA / Web Services (REST, SOAP), XML, JSON, WSDL, XPath
Experience in building large-scale distributed systems
Strong networking knowledge, architectures and protocols
Extensive experience with developing and delivering commercial enterprise software
Experience with build and release management processes
