Software Android Developer

Comcarde are currently implementing a next generation secure, mobile payment system, provding flexibility to users and best in class services to merchants.

As part of that implementation we are looking for an experienced software engineer to take on the responsibilities of developing the android application, providing input into the architecture/design process and actively on the innovation aspects of the system.

Initially for a 3 month contract, the chosen candidate if proven to be capable would move to a rolling contract going forward.

The ideal candidate, as well as being an expert in the required skills detailed below, would also have skills and experience in a wide range of software displines. He/She would be a self-starter, be able to work without supervision, rapid accurate development and require little time to get started on this initial project. He/She will be working closely with the architecture, iOS and server development teams to implement the system.

The current engineering team is located in Livingston, and the chosen candidate would be working closely with a highly experienced, motivated and close-knit team.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- In-depth Android Application Development, from architecture through to deployment in the Play store for both phone and tablet.
- Android communication API'S, and direct experience of interfacing securely with remote Servers/services.
- Utilisation of secure local data storage.
- Team working skills.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

- PCI-DSS (PA-DSS, P2PE) understanding.
- SSL/TLS 3.0 experience.
- iOS.
- Windows Phone.
- Ability to walk on water.

Some travel may be required as part of the role.
