Software/ALM Execution Engineer

Our client is the world's leading computer components brand seeking a qualified SOFTWARE ENGINEER to provide first level support to customers for any ALM related requests/issues.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prioritize and process ALM build requests based on urgency of the request
- Monitor ALM builds for failures
- Track ALM requests/statuses at regular intervals during a work day
- Level-1 debugging to identify problem area - compilation, build system, disk space
- Provide on the fly resolution for build completion under urgent circumstances
- Coordinate with customers if input in incorrect/incomplete or not clear
- Understand escalation paths
- Build Infrastructure usage management
- Estimate task durations, update ETAs
- Coordinate ALM task hand offs
- Coordinate with infrastructure support team on related procedures
- Capture ALM execution related requests from stake holders
- Perform ALM execution tasks as requested by customers
- Perform build set up tasks in automated system per customer requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- 2 - 3 years running and debugging complex Software Builds, including fixes on the fly
- 1 - 3 years of experience in PERL, Python, BAT scripts or other Scripting languages
- At least 1 year experience with Source Control Management Tool(s) as an administrator or support personnel
- Experience with ALM tool suites (IBM RTC, JAZZ or HP ALM)
- Experience with Jenkins
- Excellent debugging skills, capable of deep dive into code and/or system to find point of failure
- Ability to deal with a high stress work environment where priorities may shift multiple times in a single day
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience with Build Forge
- Experience with UCM ClearCase and/or GIT
- Experience with MS SQL (views, queries and stored procedures)

Estimated length of assignment: 6 months to start, up to 18 months

Some overtime is to be expected, including occasional weekend support
