Soft Ware Engineer/Virtualization

SOFTWARE ENGINEER VIRTUALISATION ENGINEER

The client is implementing tools and techniques to shorten delivery time and to improve the quality of its applications development within the IT department. To achieve this, we are looking to up staff our "Process Tools" team with an experienced technical expert.

You will:

Work together as a team with IT application developers, to define and implement virtual services that simulate business applications.
Install and maintain technical installations of virtualization tools, inclusive the necessary user notes and training material for application developers.
Automate the provision of virtual services.
Train and coach development team members on the use of virtualization tools.
Participate to the existing hotline (second level) for service virtualization related issues.
Advise the IT development teams in their service virtualization needs.
Bring to the team practical experience on virtualization practices used successfully in other companies.

We are seeking a software engineer with an advanced profile. You will be working in a team currently staffed with several experts.

You must have concrete technical experience as an application developer with different IT platforms (Unix, Linux, Windows), development tools like Oracle, Solaris, SQL, IDEs ( Eclipse, Rational Application Developer, ), Jenkins, java, .net, IBM Rational ClearCase, Maven, Spring, and virtualization software.
You have used development engineering practices like continuous integration, automated build and deploy, automated testing, and code quality inspection.

You are familiar with different flavours of the Application Development Life Cycle, like waterfall, iterative, agile
Communication is key in this job. Fluency in Dutch, French and English is mandatory.
Contributions to related communities (presenting at conferences, writing blogs or articles on development engineering topics, etc.) will be taken into account.
