Social Worker - Qualified, HCPC, Children and Disabilities, Child Protection work

A leading local authority is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work with children with disabilities. An understanding of child protection is beneficial.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Undertake assessment of individual needs and circumstances following departmental policy and procedures and with the framework of the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
- Develop, monitor and review care plans in consultation with service users and carers, based on assessed need and within the framework of CPA
- Undertake assessments and devise risk management strategies based on need
- Undertake assessments of carers needs
- Manage an allocated case load
- Indentify risk of abuse and work within both Safeguarding and Vulnerable Adults Procedures

EXPERIENCE

- Approved social work practice.
- Experience of managing a caseload.
- Working effectively within a multi agency setting
- Experience of working as a Social Worker in child protection setting
- Experience at representing Social Services Departments at meetings, conferences etc
- Assessing needs and planning care with individuals
- Work within the framework of the CPA
- Multi-disciplinary working
- Preparation of reports, review and care plans.
