Social Worker - Leaving Care

Our client has a job vacancy for a Social Worker to work within a Leaving Care Team based in Havering. This vacancy has an initial 3 month contract and the pay rate for this role is up to £32 per hour (limited company worker).

Requirements:
Have you got a social work degree or equivalent?
Are you HCPC registered?
Do you have at least 2 years recent post qualified experience working within Children's Services in the UK?

If you fit these requirements then you could be the ideal candidate.

Duties:
- You will be supporting young people in leaving care, through their transition to independence.
- You will be working with young people in need under Section 17 of the Children's Act of 1989.
- You will be undertaking the role of personal advisor, to make assessments and provide and coordinate service.
- You will be carrying out risk assessments.
- You will be completing and reviewing pathway plans.
- You will be advocating on behalf of the young person.
- You will be assisting with education, employment, accommodation, benefits and setting up utility accounts.
