RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assumes responsibility for studying and interpreting for patients, relatives, and other members of the medical team the role of social and emotional factors in causation of illness and ability of the patients and their families to utilize and benefit from medical care. Must be skilled in the provision of social services to children or adults. Upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:
Masters degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education plus current Licensed Independent Social Worker status (LISW status goes into effect only with 3000 hours of post Masters experience. No more than 1500 hours may be credited in any 12 month period.)
