Social Media Executive required for global organisation based in Berkshire.

THE ROLE

Providing support for the Group Social Media Manager in the running and co-ordination of all social media activity for our organisation. Join a global conversation about ways to work, and use your social media skills to spread the word about us - attract followers, inform them about our products, and generate revenue.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist Interim Social Media Manager with implementation of global social media strategy
- Monitor social media and review sites for our mentions - responding to complaints, managing crises and aiming to reduce online negativity about the brand
- Manage and moderate our social media channels, including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+
- Monitor the local conversation about us, and use it to support sales, customer service and PR activity
- Write, commission and edit copy
- Forward planning; feed into editorial/conversational calendar to plan messaging in advance
- Use analytical tools to monitor and report on social media activity on a monthly and/or weekly basis, feeding into global social media reporting requirements
- Regular liaison with other departments, including amongst others: marketing and customer services
- Liaison with suppliers of social media, digital or creative services (where delegated to)

EXPERIENCE

- Degree educated with at least three years' B2B communications experience in a fast-paced and challenging environment - either in-house or agency side
- Social media and digital marketing experience
- Strong customer or stakeholder-facing ability, to effectively deal with competing external and internal demands
- Ideally some experience of effectively working remotely from your manager(s) and being part of a team spread out over a wide, possibly international geographic area
- Proven project management, organization and co-ordination experience; ideally involving complex digital and/or editorial multi-channel projects

Skills and Training

- Strong writing skills that include the ability to turn abstract business concepts into engaging social media conversations
- A talent for spotting a good story and being able to turn it into material which Regus' target audience will share with their networks
- Great idea generator and brainstormer
- Strong interpersonal communications skills; excellent professional telephone manner; great relationship builder and maintainer
- Comfortable working on your own and reporting in via phone, email or video communications
- Comfortable working with senior executives and managing their expectations
- High quality IT skills, particularly working with documents, images, videos, etc. and productivity apps
- Experience of using of content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress
- Highly familiar with and an avid interest in developments within social media channels (ie Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Foursquare)
