Social Media Co-Ordinator - Farsi/English Speaking Only

SOCIAL MEDIA CO-ORDINATOR - FARSI/ENGLISH SPEAKING ONLY

MyPublic Sector client is looking for a temporary Social Media Coordinator for an upcoming art and photography exhibition in March celebrating Nowruz (Persian New year).

The exhibition shares an insight into Nowruz ceremonies and celebrations from several countries who celebrate the event, through photography, art, design and digital art. The ideal candidate will have very good knowledge of Farsi and English language, online media, UK art institutions and media, and the Iranian diaspora in the UK and beyond.

DUTIES

- Excellent command over written and spoken Farsi and English
- Familiarity with the Iranian diaspora in the UK, and Nowruz celebrations
- Up to date with the arts and digital trends in Iran and the UK
- Experience of working with different Social Media tools and working knowledge of key social platforms, including Facebook, twitter, Google+, Instagram
- Ability to devise a strategy for increasing online visibility of the exhibition across key social platforms
- Proven knowledge of writing styles and standards in Social Media in both Farsi and English
- Proven knowledge of the art scene in the UK and ability to identify suitable networks for promotion of the exhibition
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven knowledge of similar campaigns and projects
- Strong team working skills to help enhance the achievements of a vibrant team
- Ability to use the Internet comfortably and skilfully
- Strong research skills (web-based and otherwise)

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Relevant academic qualification (eg. BA in mass communication, journalism, digital marketing, marketing communications)
- Experience managing social media strategy for an organization of national significance
