SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT MANAGER (PAID SOCIAL)

MANCHESTER - AGENCY - IMMEDIATE START - 3-MONTH CONTRACT - DAY RATE DOE

THIS EXCITING AND DYNAMIC POSITION WITHIN THE AGENCY IS BASED IN THEIR NEWLY-OPENED MANCHESTER OFFICES. ACTING AS A SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT MANAGER YOUR REMIT WILL BE TO WORK ACROSS ONE OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS UK CLIENTS.

You'll be expected to manage deliverables across a portfolio of high-profile entertainment clients' brands, providing a superior service to our clients and delivering innovative communications planning solutions. You'll apply your knowledge of social media and communications platforms to identify the most appropriate mediums to overcome the challenges the clients are facing.

In your day to day, you'll be working within the specific team to successfully execute and optimize paid social campaigns. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to work with our partner teams at various social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc) being the first to test new rollouts and help guide our product roadmap. In addition to managing campaigns, the candidate will be responsible for training and mentoring junior traders as well as supporting the Social Trading Director and Head of UK team.

The ideal candidate will be a planner or manager at a PMD or in a paid social role at a media agency with 2-3 years experience. The candidate should also be passionate about social media, online advertising, ad tech as well as enjoy social data and insights.

SOCIAL CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT:

- Hold responsibility for a set of paid social campaigns
- Establish and develop best practices for campaign management
- Initiate integrated process and thinking across client teams, strategy and product areas
- Train and manage junior traders to deliver on accounts effectively on a day to day basis
- Support the Social Trading Director on agency pitches as well as training for agency and client teams

TEAM OVERSIGHT:

- Monitor day to day aspects of junior employees' work to ensure high quality output
- Set benchmarks for personal development within team
- Provide on the job training and learning opportunities for new hires
- Work with trading team to establish workflows, protocols, and KPI's for media operations organisation

SOCIAL MEDIA & PLATFORM EXPERT:

- Become an expert user of team's social ad technology
- Maintain a high-level understanding of social ad specs, new/beta features, and best practices for executing complex social ad campaigns
- Ensure the campaign delivery, performance and advertiser goals are being fulfilled as scheduled
- Troubleshoot technical issues at all stages of the campaign process from implementation through execution and reporting
- Monitor campaign performance and pacing and conduct performance analyses on a regular basis, using a data driven approach to optimize campaigns
- Work closely with the Trading Directors updating them regularly on campaign performance and issues
- Deliver reporting and in-depth analysis that provides clients with unique and actionable insights
- Understand how to integrate social media campaigns within other digital and traditional advertising efforts

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

- Significant experience in digital advertising and social media, working directly with clients across digital media channels
- Excellent understanding of social media, social platforms, and related APIs and ad products
- Demonstrable history of managing multiple stakeholders and inputs
- Trading experience in a PMD/SMPD is mandatory
- Well- developed interpersonal, team building and relationship management skills
- Effective written communication, presentation, influence and negotiation skills
- Ability to make decisions and resolve problems quickly and effectively
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage smooth flow of work through agency
- Time management and the ability to determine priorities and delegate effectively
- Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
- Attention to detail and precision data input, often under time pressure, is essential
