My major public sector client is looking for 2 interims to work in their Social Care department.

They are looking for interims with significant experience at a senior manager level, to take responsibility for leading and co-ordinating the work on an 'addressing sufficiency' project or a major Adult Social Care project. We expect the brief to last for up to 6 months, with a review at 3 months.

The roles will require:

Significant experience in social care, with a demonstrable understanding of the personal care system.
A strong track-record in working with the NHS and ability to maintain relationships with 4 acute providers and 2 CCG's, one of which is the biggest in the country and has 3 localities) at a time of significant pressure.
Credibility with independent sector suppliers - ie the ability to demonstrate an understanding of their commercial and operating context.
Highly developed negotiating skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to operate at pace and under pressure.
Strong communication skills - demonstrating the ability to connect with operational teams, procurement, providers, NHS and strategic commissioning to understand problems, seek solutions and ensure that actions are followed through but also to work with or communications team to address the media profile.
Experience of working with members, especially at Cabinet level.
Ideally, experience of working in a large rural county (recognising that solutions vary in different localities)and of managing in a complex operational, organisational and partnership environment.
ASC senior level experience (desirable).
