Summary
A Test Manager is responsible for planning, management and execution of the test process. The Test Manager prepares and executes the different test levels, monitors the progress and reports the result of the test execution to relevant stakeholders. The Test Manager may involve one or more Test Engineers in execution of these tests; however, the Test Manager is overall responsible for the tests.
The role is active throughout the life cycle.

Responsibilities
Defining the test strategy for features and for the project as a whole.
Definition and executing the master test plan based on a risk based approach
Day-to-day management of test activities.
Acknowledging, anticipating and reporting on project risks.
Providing objective insight into the quality of the software.
Execution of test process optimizations.

Knowledge and Competences

Test Specific
Extensive knowledge about test management documentation
Knowledge about test in the development process (LPD and v-model)
Extensive knowledge about test management tools (HP Quality Center)
TMAP Test engineer
TMAP Business Driven Test Management (BDTM)

Experience with:
o A risk based approach to test management
o Test and test management within an agile context
o Implementing test process improvement

Knowledge about
o IT vision and strategy
o THW basic liner trade
o IT processes overview
o PEX basics
Overview of IT processes and governance
Good understanding of the business

General
Overview of system landscape
Knowledge about:
o Basic project management
o Defect management process
o Data quality, quality assurance and quality management
o System design and implementation processes
o Change management

Specific Tasks to be performed during the engagement/Key Deliverables/Milestones:
Test Managment of new and fixed functionality within the RCM system (including WAM Product, RCM extended component and web services to/from Workflow/BPM application)

Module/technical skills required:

- Quality Centre
- Focal Point
- Remedy
