Snr. Project Manager, Fixed Income, Sydney

This opportunity exists within one of the large International Banking players, offering a holistic suite of Financial Services, with views to capture increased market share and become a dominant force particularly within the Fixed Income space. A leader within the Banking field in terms of innovation and a get-things-done attitude.

This role fits within a dedicated Financial Markets trading projects team, the remit of which is to revolutionise the current Trading Environment and migrate from Legacy systems to their new platform (Murex) with dedicated resources to the project with a common goal.

This role will suit a Senior PM or Program Manager, that's managed budgets around $50 Million and comes from a very strong background in the Fixed Income space, with a real depth in product knowledge, so that there is an understanding of the knock-on effects of change in other areas like middle or Back Office etc.

It is also necessary as there will be a direct line of communication with the business, expect conversations with Traders and Quants in their language. You will also have the usual internal and external stakeholders and also manage consultancy resources.

Experience required:

- Project Management experience of large projects with budgets to match.
- Expert level Fixed Income product knowledge
- Trading system knowledge of Murex
- Trading system migration projects will be highly regarded although not essential
- Cost estimation, budget allocation, proposal and tender preparation
