POSITION: Senior Engineer
JOB TYPE: Contract (6 months Initially)

LOCATION: Glasgow easily commutable from Edinburgh, Fife, Dunfermline and with excellent access from Central Scotland
SALARY: £32.00 per hour

Outsource UK Ltd is actively seeking to recruit a Senior Support InformationEngineer for a contract role on behalf of a client.

THE CLIENT:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

THE JOB:
The purpose of the Senior Engineer role is to complete the following:
Ensure that the Project Office Support Information requirements are flowed down as appropriate to the Equipment Suppliers.
Establish and define with each Equipment Supplier their Support Information requirements.
Analysis the Supplier's Equipment condition monitoring capability impact on Technical Documentation and Training.
Identify opportunities in the supply of Support Information from Equipment Suppliers.
Review and report Support Information shortfalls or issues identified between Equipment Supplier's proposed delivery and Project Office Support Information requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
The successful Senior Engineer candidate will be responsible for the following:
Manage Support Information requirements and any associated risks or opportunities for all Equipment Suppliers.
Arrange, with Supply Chain, and manage meetings with Equipment Suppliers to analysis and define their Support Information requirements.
Identify and record with Equipment Suppliers their information delivery requirements and programme covering Technical Documentation, Training, Supply Support and Maintenance.
Identify the impact of Equipment Condition monitoring on Technical Documentation and Training information.
Provide management reports on the status of Support Information from Equipment Suppliers.
Provide appropriate inputs to underpin Project Main Gate approvals.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
Degree or equivalent job experience
Management or Engineering qualifications obtained through membership of a relevant institution or equivalent within the Project or Engineering fraternity.
Comprehensive support information experience with wide spread of ILS, information management experience of support engineering disciplines
Working level knowledge of DEF Stan 00-600, JSP 886, S1000D and JSP822
