Snr Manager, Software Engineering Development Management - Contract

Projektbeschreibung

This role will report to the Head of Investment Advisor Solutions (IAS) in Ireland with close alignment with the Product Management team based in the US. The role will involve responsibilities in people management, customer relationship management and project management including project planning and execution, risk and issue management, budget tracking and regular status reporting.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills coupled with strong motivation for working in a highly customer-focused environment. The individual should have experience managing Agile projects, a strong technical background and be willing to act in a hands-on capacity where necessary. He/She will work closely with the delivery team to elicit requirements, develop a technical design, define scope, estimate tasks, and implement the solution.

QUALIFICATIONS

- At least 10 years overall experience in the IT sector with 5 years People & Project Management experience including several major project implementations.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or similar.
- Experience managing people across multiple different functional areas.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with a strong interest in employee development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven project management skills - risk assessment & mitigation, project planning and tracking, working to agreed budgets, status reporting.
- Experience in Release management and co-ordination across multiple projects.
- Possess demonstrated customer orientation.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment.
- Strong customer facing and relationship management skills.
- Proven problem solving skills.
- Experience in software development life cycles, especially Agile.
- Strong design and estimation skills.
- Strong process definition skills.
- Experience in the Financial Services Sector and Mutual Funds industry an advantage.
- Ability to travel to the US on occasion.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

- Experience managing Back Office and financial services software development projects.
- Knowledge of some of the following technologies a distinct advantage:
- Languages: Java, PL/SQL
- Tools: IBM Rational Clearcase, HP Quality Center
- Operating Systems: Windows XP, Linux
- Development Methodologies including Agile.
