Snr Java Developer x8 - Java, HTML5, Web Services Toplink/Hibernate

SNR JAVA DEVELOPER - JAVA, HTML5, WEB SERVICES TOPLINK/HIBERNATE - ESSEX - £350+PD

My client is looking for a team of competent and experienced Senior Developers (8 roles) to join their team working on a global delivery project within a large Automotive brand. The role involves working closely with Project Managers, Architects, Developers and Marketing Agencies, Business Customers in order to develop high-profile Digital marketing experiences. These require development of services and applications, which integrate with exciting and engaging Front End UIs, Content Management Systems, and other Back End services and interfaces.

THE ROLE:

Deliver IT solutions, following the appropriate development methodologies and standards

Design technical solutions from that meet the specified business requirements, as defined by Marketing Agencies, Business Analysts and Agile/Scrim style User Stories and Use Cases.

Ensure seamless integration, where required, with existing systems

Assist in the validation of technical proposals put forward by other internal IT teams and or external 3rd parties

Support technical and security reviews as required.

Work with the team leader to ensure the team resource plans fits in with the workload that the team has, and estimates that exist

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:

3 to 5 years proven experience development with Java/J2EE

Proven experience of developing Toplink/Hibernate or similar

Modern Java Design Patterns and Anti-Patterns

Excellent communication skills

Ability to document code to an appropriate level for maintainability

Experience of working within modern software development methodologies and techniques. (Scrum, Agile, RUP)

Proven extensive experience of implementing multiple web service technologies

PROVEN DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE IN:

Java, J2EE

TopLink/EclipseLink object persistence or Hibernate

HTML5 and other web technologies

Experience of relational databases, SQL

Experience with MS Windows and Unix/Linux/Solaris operating systems

SOAP-UI
