SME - Mumbai, India - 12 Month Contract

My client, a leading Managed Services provider are looking for a Mobile Core Network and IMS Deployment Subject Matter Expert. The candidate should have comprehensive knowledge in the core network (Packet) domain and IMS systems, from a purely technical perspective (best practices in Telcos), but also be able to provide advice to marketing & product areas, ie which best practices exist, capabilities, which systems/tools and or vendors exist in the market. The candidates should also have proven expertise from previous projects in the respective areas. Management and soft skills for an inter-cultural environment is a must as well as international experience. The candidate is expected to work closely with the counterparts to solve issues arising from the integration of all different systems and provide advice based on previous experience and knowledge of operators networks.

Planned tasks:

- Manage the deployment and integration of the IMS Platform.
- Assuring that all network related milestones are defined and met from a June 30th Soft Launch perspective
- Close alignment with business, RAN, devices, product engineering and OSS/BSS teams required
- Manage vendors that are part of the whole LTE-IMS eco-system in order to achieve the target goals.

Contribution to team deliverables:

- Assist in end-to-end network launch plan.
- Provide technical expertise/advice for special features on the network side (eg DPI, packet optimization, virtualisation).
- Benchmark against other global operators networks regarding special features.
- Support in execution through coordination with Product Engineering, Devices, Radio access and Marketing functions.
- Provide best knowledge to assist in risk register (incl. mitigation plan).
- Create/develop technical documents in the areas requested by counterparts to assist in technical evaluation of proposed solutions.
