SME Finance Business Partner - 6 months - Nottingham - Negotiable Daily Rate

Job Purpose:
To support the SME Segment Manager in ensuring commercial & financial delivery of the SME segment - to drive performance awareness, performance management & commercial optimisation Business partnering to functional leadership teams within Sales & Marketing, and the SME executive

This involves
* Challenge and shape commercial decisions to deliver the business strategy.
* Drive Commercial Performance through effective business partnership.
* Lead in the delivery of action orientated insight to the key stakeholders
* Embed governance across the business
* Develop a strong performance awareness culture with the key stakeholders

Key Accountabilities:
* Challenge and shape the formulation and execution of commercial strategies, to optimise long term value within the strategic framework.
* Drive performance awareness through effective relationship management within sales & marketingidentifying risks and opportunities; highlighting optionality.
* To deliver financial appraisals of investment proposals, benefits reviews and business change initiatives.
* Ensure clear and consistent communication across the wider business, ensuring "one version of the truth" is delivered to key stakeholders.
* Embed governance and controls within projects/initiatives across Sales & Marketing & the SME business. Ensure key stakeholders are bought into the process to guarantee protect value and drive best practice.
* Work closely with change & strategy in order to drive commercial optimisation & delivery of our commercial strategy, particularly ensuring delivery of financial plan.
* Work across finance to ensure that objectives of the finance function are delivered, and that the business experiences a coherent, high quality product from a finance perspective
* Exhibit exemplary behaviours and create and promote an environment which strives for continuous improvement.
* Ensure efficiency through clear prioritisation of workload and clear communication with key stakeholders.

Key Skill Requirements:

Skills and Experience
* Must have a demonstrable track record of adding value within a commercially focused finance role
* Must have strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to identify key issues, create clarity and insight and provide effective support and challenge to senior customers and stakeholders
* Exceptional relationship building skills with the ability to influence and work effectively across functional boundaries
* Excellent communication, personal impact and influencing skills with the ability to deal effectively and confidently with individuals at all levels of the business
* An innovative approach, driving imaginative solutions to problems and capable of challenging conventional business thinking.
* Energy, drive, determination and enthusiasm and an ability to work to tight deadlines.
* The ability to proactively identify opportunities for the business and to drive delivery of them.
