SLD & ASC Teacher

SLD & ASC Teacher We have an outstanding secondary special school, based in the borough of Brent seeking a SLD & ASC teacher to start April 2015 fulltime. The school accommodates pupils aged from 11 to 19 with moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties and autism across 3 key stages. The successful candidate will be required to - *Teach a class of 8 pupils who have levels of attainment from P5-P8. *Assess pupils knowledge and understanding scaffolding their next steps accurately *Be able to use ICT interactively to support learning *Have a sound knowledge of how to teach pupils using multi sensory strategies *Have relevant experience of working successfully with pupils who present with challenging behaviour. The school aims to provide a curriculum that is differentiated to meet the needs of all pupils. You will be responsible for writing and implementing pupils' Individual Education Plans, to ensure that they are given the best possible opportunity for a positive learning outcome.
