Skype for Business Principal Systems Administrator

Travel may be required up to 50%

The Skype for Business Principal Systems Administrator will support and maintain the Skype for Business Systems, Microsoft Windows Server and other applications by providing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, administration, account management and resolution of software and hardware issues as well as develop new system designs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Install and administer Skype for Business
Manage Skype Servers
Day to day administration of Skype services
Compose detailed technical documentation including engineering run books, configuration guides, and product knowledge articles
Perform research activities to address technology challenges and complex integrations
Train users on IM and Presence
Train users on Enterprise Voice

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

REQUIREMENTS
8-10 years of directly related experience in systems administration.
3-5 years of directly related experience with Lync or Skype.
Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) Windows Server 2008 or higher.
Microsoft Skype for Business 2015 Certification or have previously attended courses for Microsoft Skype for Business.

Technical Skills
Level 1-3 Expected Skills (Operations/Technical Support)
Individual will be expected to interface with users of the Microsoft Lync/Skype for Business product line.
Support ongoing activities for Day to Day Operations, along with performing as a project resource to build out new infrastructure.
Microsoft Lync 2010, 2013 and Skype for Business 2015 experience & knowledge with all modalities, with emphasis on Enterprise and Peer-to-Peer Voice.
Global unified communications architecture & design
Enterprise voice deployment expertise
Microsoft Skype/Lync for Business architecture
Global dial plan and routing
Site planning for Skype/Lync for Business enterprise voice deployments
Call flows and transcoding knowledge
Voice codec knowledge
Lync/Skype for Business audio/video conferencing architecture
Emergency services solutions to meet country specific requirements
Design of data retention, logging and call routing solutions to meet country specific data privacy and other regulatory requirements
