Abrasive
Blaster

Blasters must have three (3) or more years of experience in
using high pressure blast equipment. Experience must include working in a physically
demanding environment, confined spaces, working at heights, and in the use of a
blaster air-fed helmet and/or soft hood air-fed respirator and a
negative-pressure half-face respirator. Due to environmental constraints,
blasters must not be taller than 6 feet and heavier than 200 pounds. All
blasters must be United States Citizens. Blasters are not being hired as
Blaster Machine Equipment Operators (BMEO's) and Ultra-High Pressure Water
Blasters.

Sheet Metal Worker-Fillet Welder

Have at least four years commercial/naval sheet metal
experience as a first class Sheet Metal Worker in the installation of
foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, shipboard furniture and sheet metal
fabrication shop work.

Required
Skills:

·   AB Ability to comprehend complex
ventilation assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches to include weld
symbols, material types, datum and reference lines.

·        2. Ability to comprehend fractional
and decimal dimensions as with the use of a ruler

·        3. Ability to layoff piece parts for
fabrication and assembly.

·        Ability to assemble piece parts in
accordance with specifications in a quality manner.

·        Ability to assemble piece parts in
accordance with specifications in a quality manner

·        Experience working in a physically
demanding environment.

·        Familiarity using small hand tools
(electric drills, grinders, rivet guns) and shop equipment (drill press, press
break, shears etc.)

·        Fillet Welding (512) Qualification:
Fillet Welding- Single-pass (NAVSEA Technical Publication 39074-AQ-GIB-010/248

All Sheet Metal Workers will be required to pass a
single-pass Fillet Welder Qualification Test upon reporting for the first day
of work.

Painter-Spray
Painter- C-14

EXPERIENCE: The
Spray Painter must have three (3) or more years of experience in applying
marine coating of epoxy, high solid epoxy, and non-epoxy paints.

CERTIFICATION:
Spray Painter must be certified in accordance with NSTM Chapter 631, Section
11.5 Shipyard Blaster and Certification. Painter certification is required by
NAVSEA Standard Item 009-32.

REQUIRED SKILLS: 1)
Ability to apply coatings using a brush, roller, and/or spray applicator while
maintaining desired MIL thickness.2) Experience working in a physically
demanding environment; confined spaces, working at heights, and use of
half-face and full-face respiratory equipment.
