The Six Sigma Black Belt supports the delivery of the SNS Operational and Network Improvement programmes. The role involves the delivery and management of performance management initiatives (for example: Scorecard management, KPI analysis & improvement, governance, etc.) There will also be a requirement for various ad hoc analyses to be carried out where data from many and varying sources will need to be pulled together and presented in a coherent and clear form. The role requires an individual who can manage and lead activities themselves, driving the necessary performance and process improvements which are shown through the data analysis and process gap analysis, by working with the SNS Engineering and Operational teams.

The Six Sigma Black Belt is responsible for:
* Managing and delivering performance management initiatives
* Enable decision making through quantitative and qualitative analysis of areas where focus is required. Provide statistical analysis and insight to stakeholders on performance trends
* Working closely with the Network Engineering and Operational teams to assist in root cause analysis and summarise findings
* Identifying new measurements/KPIs to measure network performance and customer experience
* Focus on improving the measurement system and KPI performance
* Manage the SNS Scorecard reporting and governance for new and existing KPIs
* Identifying gaps in processes, drawing end to end process maps/value stream maps and performing analysis on process performance
* Improve KPI performance through quick wins, small to large scale improvement projects
* Facilitating review meetings, process/performance improvement workshops and driving actions to closure
* Drive KPI data automation requirements coming from the performance management initiative
* Provide SNS management with a monthly high-level service performance review. Follow-up on actions that relate to further analysis, investigations or improvement of a specific KPI
* Respond to specific projects requirements for data analysis, delivering ad-hoc reports to the requisitioning project manager
* Support internal performance and process improvement projects

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following criteria:
* Engineering qualification to degree level or equivalent
* Certified Six Sigma Black belt or proof of strong Process and Statistical knowledge
* Good understanding of Broadband and Voice networks from a technical perspective
* Hands-on experience in simple to complex reporting, performance and process analysis
* Hands-on experience in business intelligence, data analysis tools and process mapping tools
* Project Management
* Experience within a telecom organisation, preferably with both data and telephony networks
* Working knowledge of telecommunications technologies
* Working knowledge of information systems and data warehousing and mining
* Hand-on experience in Minitab or equivalent statistical tools
* Hands-on experience in basic and advanced MS Office tools (MS Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Visio)
* Distinguished analytical skills, ability to model and facilitate problem analysis
