Sitecore Content Migration Specialist

SITECORE CONTENT MIGRATION SPECIALIST

Durham, NC

6 MONTHS+ CONTRACT

This temp position provides support and direction for the migration from Sharepoint to Sitecore and all related activities. If there is time during the course of the contract, this person will also be responsible for:

CONTENT MASTER AND USER SUPPORT AND TRAINING

- Provide training and support of web applications and the use of the Sitecore tool.
- Provide direction and solutions to current and potential Content Masters on the structure and layout of their site content.
- Assist in the development of marketing strategies for web content, web applications and new site roll-outs.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- Support of Sitecore environment
- Create web graphics and Flash elements as needed
- Collaborate with the Global Web Team, Business & Technology Services, Business Services and other groups on web related projects.
- Provide first level technical support and development of web applications and systems.

USABILITY AND MONITORING

- Provide recommendations and development to continuously improve the US Intranet's functionality and content structure.
- Perform monthly site/section audits
- Gather and post monthly web usage reports.

PROJECT AND CONTENT MANAGEMENT

- Report web related activities to the Web Communications Manager as requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

- BS Required, BS in Computer related field preferred, or 5 - 7 years of equivalent web experience.
- Strong understanding of Sharepoint and Sitecore Content Management Systems
- Basic web technology skills
- Strong communications skills
- Demonstrated initiative and strategic thinking
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to consistently work well with others and negotiate for optimal outcomes
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines with a quality product
- Proven planning, organizational and project management skills
- Good presentation skills
- Macromedia Flash development
- Understanding of web platforms
- HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript skills
