HomeServe offers customers peace of mind with approved engineers and a prompt response. We also enable consumers to take control of their home repair needs by offering both comprehensive insurance cover and fixed-price repairs.

This is just the start of our vision to offer customers a full home solution. HomeServe's product range has expanded to include appliance repairs, locksmith servicing and boiler servicing, and our international operations mean that we’re now offering solutions to customers in the UK, US, France, Spain, Belgium and Italy. This rapid growth has allowed us to expand our partner base to work with many major utility and energy companies, alongside other companies that have an affinity with our products.

ABOUT THE ROLE:- The Site Support Engineer provides support to all business areas by responding to incidents and service requests that have been logged with the service desk that cannot be dealt with immediately. IT is a key component of core business functions and Site Support make a significant contribution to ensuring it works as required to support the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Respond to hardware and software break/fix service calls and ensure equipment is fixed within the agreed Service Levels, including any equipment located at branches/depots.

Ensure all customer requests for service are logged on the service desk system and the call progressed correctly.

Perform authorised software installations and operating system rebuilds as necessary.

Monitor equipment loans to ensure customer satisfaction and that they are returned to stores.

Ensure accurate completion of all asset labelling and associated paperwork, in line with HomeServe's ITAM policy.

Build PCs and manage software deployment, ensure that the site's desktops comply with HomeServe's policies and configuration guidelines.

Add, modify or disable end-user security access and email accounts in line with HomeServe's starters and leavers policy.

Collaborate with Wintel, Network and Telecoms to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on Servers and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary.

Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.

Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex hardware problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair as needed.

Recommend, schedule, and perform hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs.

Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities to the Service Delivery Manager.

ABOUT THE PERSON:- It is essential that you will have good technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, applications, server and desktop systems, software, and standards, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Winders Server 2003, Microsoft Office Suite, ITIL, Active Directory, and DNS.

You will have good knowledge of networking topologies, both local and wide area and good working knowledge of telephony systems.

You will be confident at written and verbal communication with all levels of colleagues from all areas of the business.

Must be aware of FCA regulations, data protection standards and must be IT Security focussed
