Projektbeschreibung

Site Manager - 12 Months - London - Negotiable Hourly Rate

Role Profile
This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK's market leaders in district heating, and to have all the freedom and autonomy you need to shape its future. The client has been established for six years, and growing rapidly over the last five. But then when you consider the value district heating creates for developers, businesses and residents - from sustainability and reliability to fair pricing and reduced carbon emissions - that growth is not surprising.
The industry is already well established in international markets, and we're already at the forefront of the exiting developments that are happening here in the UK.

This is a Site Manager role with a difference. We design and install large scale district heating networks into city centres and suburban areas to supplying industrial, commercial and residential properties, as well as designing and building district heating solutions for new housing developments.

This is a new and fast growing part of our business, which makes it a fantastic opportunity to take your construction career to the next level. Based on-site, you'll align your project with the highest safety, health, environmental and technical quality standards and ensure that it's on track and on time. It's a role that will involve supporting the Project Delivery Manager with sub-contractors and suppliers, and developing positive relationships with clients and contractors. In terms of your day-to-day responsibilities, you can expect to be involved with all construction activity, pro-actively managing our clients programme, maintaining our own delivery programme, reducing the risk of variations through forward thinking and good risk management, co-ordinating and overseeing system commissioning processes and driving the projects ongoing efficiency and effectiveness. We'll also need you to make sure we always meet our regulatory and legislative responsibilities. At the same time, you'll identify and record problem areas or complaints, making sure these are swiftly resolved and monitoring the progress and performance of our internal and external service providers.

Essential skill requirements
* A relevant engineering qualification and an SSSTS or NEBOSH certificate.
* A good knowledge of all safety legislation, including the Electricity at Work Act, HASAAWA and TMA - you'll also have extensive experience in CDM.
* An appropriate CSCS card.
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to negotiate with others to ensure the most effective delivery of the programme.
* Good stakeholder management and communication skills - you'll be able to build productive relationships with senior managers and staff; contractors and customers.
* Plenty of enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to problem solving. Desirable skills
* Experience of installing boiler plant rooms, energy centres or building services, such as gas boilers or CHP.
* Knowledge or experience of district heating networks and energy centres.
* Good numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and information and then present it logically and clearly.
* A first aid at work qualification. Any additional information
