POSITION: Site EHS (Environment, Health, Safety,) Officer

DURATION: 12 Months

LOCATION: Stavanger, Norway

JOB DESCRIPTION

Review and evaluate Contractor HSE project contractual requirements prior to kick-off.
Advise Project Manager (PM) of proposed changes to HSE documentation deliverables per agreement. Ensure any Change Proposals are suitably completed to PM's satisfaction

Liaise with Project Manager (PM) and Project/System Engineer (SE) to develop scope specific Risk
Register (RR) to agree parameters and Matrix to be used. Liaise with PM and establish project
Training requirements and budget in line with needs. Review and adopt as appropriate Lessons
Learned (LL) from previous projects. Develop emergency and contingency plans in consultation
with Contractor

Participate in kick-off meeting(s) identifying reporting and measurement KPI's. Participate in critical
Subcontractor evaluations to assist or advise PM on selection, concerns and corrective measures.
Ensure critical subcontractor HSE documentation is made available and meets regulatory, project
and company requirements prior to start of work activities.

Ensure HSE activity plan is implemented and KPI's as agreed with Contractor. This will include
leading indicator activities such as audit, inspection, behavior observation, toolbox talks,
emergency drills etc. Report to HSE Manager on project performance on a weekly
and monthly basis.

Participate in accident investigation and analysis of project related HSE/Security events. Advise project team of relevant HSE legislative/regulatory/company/industry requirements and changes.

Monitor and periodically verify critical subcontractor activities as part of the HSE activity plan during the execution of work. Verify HSE training is undertaken per agreed schedule

Support Safe Operability (SAFOP) studies, review project EFAT/SIT organization and procedure(s) to
ensure they reflect proposed activities and are approved by project and client prior to use. Promote
and implement shared work activity (SIMOPS) policy. Ensure 3rd party HSE documentation is
adequate and sufficient to meet requirements

Support and review the generation of project specific HSE documentation. Review all Job Safety
Analyses created as part of EFAT/SIT activities.

To promote & monitor implementation of HSE on Project, in accordance with HSE plan, procedures and work instructions and stop any work activities that contravenes these procedures & practices.

Conduct verification activities such as audits and workplace inspections.

Provide specialist advice and assistance to the Project Management Team

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

- Relevant experience in HSE role
- Good communication and inter-personal relation.
- Proven capability of working in a Matrix environment and in team.
- Willing to work at a detail level.
- Self-motivated and energetic individual, able to work on own initiative
- Knowledge of the Oil & Gas sector
