SIT Engineer (Systems Integration Engineer)

My client, a Global Outsourcing Technical, currently partnered with a world leader in advanced technology equipment and services for drilling and production, LNG, pipelines, refining and petrochemical are searching for a SIT Engineer to join them in Sandika, Norway (expected travel to Dusavik, Stavanger Norway and possibly Houston depending on the project assigned).

SIT Engineer

The SIT Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising the SIT team including the SIT test team and site support personnel. The SIT Engineer shall manage the SIT testing tasks on site.

The SIT Engineer will liaise between the SIT Manager, the Test team supervisor, product specialists and the CoE leads during planning and coordination of the SIT testing.

The main tasks that the SIT Engineer is responsible for are as follows:

- Prepare SIT work package, SIT procedures and ensure that the test procedures are correctly used and signed off by the appropriate test team personnel.
- Supervise and guide SIT test team during SIT operations
- Prepare SIT test reports
- Cooperate with EPC system team and coordinate SIT tests with CoE's
- Manage punch work close out in coordination with the Site Fabrication team, where required.
- Supervise equipment preparation for test
- Provide list of consumables, test equipment and spares as required for the test teams
- Cooperate with Test site representatives to provide (via the ITC process) support equipment and personnel from fabrication site (lifting, transport, scaffolding, utilities etc.)
- With the SIT Manager, regularly review and optimize the test program in order to obtain most efficient testing
- In collaboration with the SIT Manager, update test program to accommodate schedule and equipment availability changes
- Establish history log for all equipment deliverables used during testing
- Ensure comments to User Manuals are collected and liaise with Supplier/EPC Lead Engineer for implementation
- The SIT Engineer is responsible for formal query logging and handling, including GRR process activities.
- Liaise with CoE technical support for technical assistance with the system under test.
- Mark up User Manual, Drawings and Procedures based on findings during testing according to the defined procedures for mark-up as required
- Manage Site receival tests on required equipment, in conjunction with the Test team.
- Provide input to "as built"/MCD documentation as required
