Simulation and Modelling Engineers are required to fulfil existing and future contracts in the development of some of the worlds most advanced future defence systems. Our Simulation & Modelling Engineers have a proven track record in creating computer simulations to aid the understanding and design of complex weapon systems to meet demanding customer needs. Our key goal is to ensure the technical excellence of Simulation develop designs in line with demanding customer specifications.

* Carry out a full range of technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options.

* Carry out investigations into a full range of problems, issues or developments and develop and prepare solutions, individually or as a member of a project team.

Skills and Knowledge

An appropriate Engineering Degree or Masters eg Systems or Aerospace Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
Proven track record in the following
Simulation & Modelling - preferably on aerospace projects
Large Scale modelling using Simulink, Embedded MATLAB and Stateflow
Ability to produce a computer simulation (/Simulink model) from a mathematical specification

Requirements
Capture including interface definitions
Automatic code generation from Simulink

Ideally will have knowledge and experience of the following:
Dimensions Configuration Management Tool (particularly use with Simulink models)
Doors/SysML/UML
Ada and/or C
FORTRAN

In addition the successful candidate will:
Have an understanding of and an ability to work within defined processes
Have the ability to visualize and analyse complex systems
Have good verbal, presentation and written communication skills
Have practical knowledge of basic systems engineering principles and processes.
Be able to work with engineering teams, including in-house and contractor personnel
Be pro-active and be capable of working on their own initiative with a minimum of supervision
Have experience in applying systems engineering practices to large hardware/software development efforts, preferably in an Aerospace, Naval or military program environment
Have good working experience in more than one phase of the engineering life cycle, with sufficient experience of the total life cycle to ensure a good understanding of adjacent phases and through-life engineering issues
Have good working knowledge and understanding of the requirements for software testing
