Silicon Validation/Testing Engineer

My client, a multi-national organisation based in the UK are currently looking for a Silicon Validation/Testing Engineer to join an extremely highly talented and fast growing team of engineers, working on the latest cutting edge technology!.

Position: Silicon Validation/Testing Engineer
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 3 month rolling contract
Location: UK

Summery
The role is basically lab based silicon validation of predominantly analog functionality. So experience in this area is key, which requires a good analog electronics background. Experience of power convertors would be particularly of interest. Software experience is also preferable, as some of the evaluation will use Scripting in Python.

Job Resposibilities:
* Perform physical silicon device evaluation at chip and board level
* Document errata to support necessary device modifications
* Develop work-around solutions where necessary to overcome device errata
* Issue errata and application solutions in conjunction with datasheets
* Support the development of all hardware and software collateral to enable comprehensive silicon device evaluation: board design, development and basic test are expected as mandatory minimum.

Key Skills Required:
* Experience of IC or hardware design
* Proven design skills (board level) digital and analogue
* Formal electronics engineering qualifications are highly desirable
* System/device evaluation/validation skills
* Software skills sufficient for validation Scripting in Python
