Signalling Transport Planning Engineer

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Flint Consulting are currently recruiting for Signalling Transport Planning engineers for contract roles based in Bristol for a start in early July.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Production of the Detailed Low level plans (x6) from the ICP consolidation High Level Plan on a site-by-site basis.
- Creation of a plan to help with the source/destination of MIM/E5-E1 cards fro m/to consolidating and consolidated ICPs.
- Planning ICP Circuits in IMS.
- Planning WTN Links required for these ICP Circuits in IMS.
- Sending of the completed WTN Links to the WTN Team for provisioning.
- Tracking the completion of the provisioning of the links by the WTN Team.
- Inserting the provisioned WTN Links within the Planned Circuits in IMS and completing the circuits to readiness for Jumpering.
- Sending the completed planned Circuits of each site to the switch operations Team for Jumpering
- Sending the planned data build information to the Data Configurations Management team for configurations.
- Co-ordinating with the switch operations team and the Warehouse team for the movement of the required MIM/E5-E1 cards from one site to the other.
- Raising of RITE Forms for the decommissioning of the ICPs at the non-keep sites.
- Sending of RITE Forms to the Infrastructure planning team for the planning of the WPFs for the decommissioning of the ICPs at the non-keep sites.
- Confirming the status of the ICPs at the non-keep sites with the operations team before the powering down and decommissioning of the Non-keep ICPs.
