Siebel Developer

A prestigious government department at Canberra requires Siebel Developers.

The services will include and not be limited to:

- Designing and documenting technical designs to meet provided high level requirements and business process(es).
- Configuring and developing appropriate solutions aligned to the endorsed technical design(s);
- Database design and development;
- Problem diagnosis and resolution;
- Environment configuration;
- Developing, maintaining and unit testing system components;
- Status reporting to the Team Lead;
- Implementing competency centre standards (including design, development and unit testing standards);
- Liaising with business analysts and testers to efficiently deliver high quality work and support project delivery;
- Mentoring and skills transfer to permanent staff of both technical skills and corporate knowledge
- be required to provide the following documentation in line with Change Release timeframes for each project:
- Technical Designs including data models and ERD's;
- Unit Testing;
- Technical Verification Documents;
- Technical training materials;
- The Siebel and Support Wiki site including:
- - Development Standards;
- - Technical Framework documentation

Essential Selection Criteria

- Specified Personnel must hold a current security clearance (Baseline Vetting as a minimum);
- Specified Personnel must be willing to undergo and obtain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC);
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Siebel Developer;
- Ability to undertake complex configuration and development using the Siebel Application;
- Ability to work well within a team environment;
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment;
- Ability to communicate effectively with Business Analysts, Testers, Project Managers and Administration staff.
- Technical background and knowledge of Siebel Tools V7 or V8;
- Experience in developing Siebel Task Based User Interface;
- Experience in Siebel Workflow;

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

- Technical background and knowledge of at least one of the following:
- Javascript;
- SQL preferably with Oracle or DB2;
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology;
- Experience in Data Conversion;
- Experience in Performance Tuning;
- Familiarity and experience with Oracle BI Publisher reports.
