Shipping Coordinator

Shipping Coordinator - required for a 12 month contract to start in January 2016.

As a Shipping Coordinator you will actively promote safe working and GMP/GDP compliance activities and support all warehouse and Import/Export preparation activities.

Responsibilities

- Conduct picking, packing & 2nd person checking for any hub or direct shipments from site.
- Supports all Primary warehouse activities as directed by the team leader/area manager.
- Manage the control of conditioning times for cooling agents used in the shipping process ensuring that all shipping documentation is checked in order that all product is shipped correctly.
- Be responsible for maintaining a high standard of quality, safety and cleanliness in all working areas
- Review relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), Report Forms (RFs) as and when required.
- Be responsible for prompt and accurate data entry in all databases and operating systems
- Achieve, maintain & exceed the department and site KPI's with a view to continuous improvement.
- Take responsibility for activities associated with Logistics & shipping for all products [Imports & Exports].

KEY SKILLS

- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage
- Previous distribution/warehouse experience preferred
- Previous Import/Export experience preferred
- Mechanical handling licenses (counterbalance, forklift, narrow aisle, ride on pallet trucks and pump trucks advantageous
- MHE licenses desirable
- SAP desirable
