SHE Advisor - 6 months - Citigen (London) - Negotiable Daily Rate

A leading Energy and Utilities client of Hyphen is looking for a SHE advisor to join their site in Citigen, London.

Requirements Notes:

Minimum requirement of NE-BOSH Construction certificate, construction experience in a refurbishment/new build field.

A proven ability to advise on H&S at operational levels/department activities to a successful conclusion A detailed understanding of relevant H&S legislation and standards

Experience in risk assessment and method statements and a thorough understanding of the application of risk control systems. Knowledge of the safety management of contractors' activities.

Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to filter complex issues into a simple form.

Proven ability to identify and analyse situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data and drawing appropriate conclusions Organisational skills.

A working knowledge of PC based computer systems.

Job Summary/Description:

* Provide safety, health and environmental (SHE) support across the Citigen Refurbishment project, to ensure compliance with legal requirements, by the implementation of effective risk control systems, procedures and standards.
* To provide technical SHE expertise within construction activities.
* Lead and support-in daily, weekly and monthly SHE/CDM Coordination meetings and assist in ensuring control strategies are carried out to a positive conclusion.
* Promote positive behaviours and ensure that individuals/teams carry out proposed methods of work in a safe manner.
* Solve problems/challenges as they arise to enable productivity whilst considering the welfare, health and safety of all involved in the project.

Health and Safety Requirements. A city centre location.

* The project is located within a busy cross sectional construction site with requirements to enter and access restricted work spaces, working platforms, scaffolds/ladders (working at height) and continuous thorough review and walk through of the construction activities/areas.
* A pre-medical health assessment may be requested.
* Personal Protective Equipment will be provided

Industry Qualifications:
NEBOSH Certificate - Construction/General A detailed understanding of relevant H&S legislation and standards is required CSCS Skills card - Supervisor or Manager level Scaffold and Working at Height awareness First Aid certificate Fire Marshal Training
