SHE ASSOCIATE - NEBOSH, HEALTH AND SAFETY, MICROSOFT OFFICE

A SHE Associate with NEBOSH, Health and Safety and Microsoft Office is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Preston.

We are looking for a highly motivated and influential SHE Associate to join our client's SHE team based in Lancashire. As a SHE Associate, you will be responsible for providing competent and professional safety, health and environmental advice and support to one of our business operations, with diverse safety, health and environmental risks to manage.

The ideal candidate will hold the NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health as a minimum.

OVERVIEW OF THE SHE ASSOCIATE CONTRACT ROLE

This role will involve the implementation and maintenance of the SHE Management System (Certified to OHSAS18001 and ISO14001) within your business operation, leading on risk assessment, accident/incident analysis and assurance activity, along with a wide variety of related tasks that fall within this diverse role, specifically:

- Construction safety
- Machine Safety
- Permit to Work activities

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE SHE ASSOCIATE

Key responsibilities will be overseeing the statutory inspection register for:

- Lifting equipment, Legionella, LEV's
- Additional duties will be conducting review of register information
- Support to maintain the contractor register
- Support for Machine installations
- A number of short term projects reviewing some of the current processes will also be required
- Candidate must have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills is essential, good team player and be motivated

The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds.
