CORE TASKS/PROFICIENCY

Proficiency in understanding of business problems and ability to translate them into customer requirements.

Proficiency in application (code) documentation in line with adopted software development methodology

Demonstrated proficiency in SharePoint

Write software applications to automate customer requirements using SharePoint 2007/2010/2013 .NET framework, ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server 2008.

Ability to migrate line of business applications from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013

Ability to migrate SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008.

Ability to manage software versions both in production and in source safe.

Ability to manage software production environment guaranteeing application availability, scalability and security.

IT Systems Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Systems Specialist will be responsible for development, management and maintenance of custom line of business software applications.

Working closely with the members of the IT Team, the IT Systems Specialist will:

Gain understanding of business problems and translate them into customer requirements.

Create appropriate documentation in line with adopted software development methodology to act as foundation for software development process.

Write software applications to automate customer requirements using SharePoint 2013, .NET framework, ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server 2008.

Migrate line of business applications from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013, SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008.

Work closely with external vendors during software development process.

Inherit custom code, manage custom applications, and reengineer code to optimize for performance, capacity and security.

Work closely with the IT Service Desk to support software applications in production. In addition assist IT Service desk when needed to support IT Infrastructure configuration items (ie printer toners, desktops, blackberries, laptops).

Apply Information Technology Infrastructure Library (version3) principles to drive software development, delivery and maintenance process.

Manage software versions both in production and in source safe.

Manage software production environment guaranteeing application availability, scalability and security.

Assist in other logistical and administrative issues relating to IT Services, product support and meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

BSc in Computer Science or Software Technology or equivalent with high standards of application development experience.

At least 3 years hands on experience of developing and delivering high quality software applications.

Proven ability in migrating Legacy SharePoint applications to SharePoint 2013 platform.

Proven ability to work as a part of a close knit multicultural team to achieve shared goals.

Desirable:
