SharePoint Support Technician Seattle, WA 9 Month Contract

Our high-visibility client is looking for a SharePoint Support Technician who is motivated and has strong administrative, organizational and communication skills. The successful SharePoint Support Technician will be responsible for utilizing his/her skills to provide assistance to the Safety and Design in Safety teams in resolving technical problems with the intent of executing on shared vision of continuous process improvement around Design in Safety.

The SharePoint Technician will play a critical role in improving the customer experience by developing a database system purposely to manage Change Approval Request processes, tools, and metrics. This individual will be required to improve the programs effectiveness and optimize operational processes as well as on-line tools to help standardize global policies.

The SharePoint Support Technician must have a good understanding of computers (both hardware and software) and a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology. S/He must possess superior technical aptitude, written and oral communications skills and the ability to deal effectively with people. Candidate must also exhibit strong analytical skills with problem solving ability. Previous experience in which high levels of initiative, judgment, and tact has been demonstrated. Proven ability to operate in high pressure situations and successfully handle multiple priorities and possess a high level of discipline while remaining flexible. S/He should also be able to exhibit superior customer service skills in dealing with all levels of personnel.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- A+ Certification (or obtain within 6 months)
- Knowledge of Linux or Unix required
- Bachelors degree in Information Technologies and/or web based designing
- 2+ years experience in a production environment
- SharePoint designer and troubleshooting expertise required
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Visio, web based program development and upgrading
- Stand/walk for shifts 10-12 hours long
- Willingness to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and holidays
- Experience setting up, taking down and re-locating Xterms and PC systems
- Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with senior leadership
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Successful characteristics for the position will also have the ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, adjust priorities, and work in a continuously changing environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma analytical techniques a plus
- Windows System support and troubleshooting
- Experience to install/test/troubleshoot applications
- Ability to image and maintain desktop and laptop systems
- Networking and Telecom skills
- Experience administering PBX and voice mail systems
- Ability to configure and maintain Cisco Switches and Routers
- Data Cabling/Computer Facilities
- Ability to create and administer clear, concise documentation to lower the possibility of a repeat problem
- Provide support and learn the skills needed to support specific FC Automated Systems
