Our leading media industry client are currently seeking an Information Manager to join their customer intelligence department reporting to the Insight Portal Manager. The Insight Portal our clients self-service consumer insight Sharepoint Portal.

The Information Manager will support the Insight Portal Manager by:

* Managing the day-to-day content publication and associated activities which include user permissions, search engine and metadata management, cross-linking and tagging content.
* Reviewing and improving the current metadata and search management model
* Reviewing and implementing a revised permissions model for the Insight Portal

Key Tasks will include:

* Undertake a content audit in order to create a keywords/synonyms and recommended content list for FAST Search
* Design a process for the ongoing updating of keywords/synonyms, search rankings and recommended content
* Contribute to, document and support the roll out of a new permissions model
* Create training materials to document new processes
* Support day-to-day publishing activities on the Sharepoint Portal

For the role, we would be looking for you to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

* Considerable experience in managing content on an intranet, corporate website or portal in fast paced commercial environment
* SharePoint user administration, Termstore management and publishing experience
* Experience in search engine optimisation, FAST an advantage
* Expert knowledge in metadata management and information management techniques. A CILIP qualification is highly desirable.
* An understanding of the principles of knowledge management
* Comfortable influencing business users at all levels to maximise uptake and contribution to portal
* Able to demonstrate a flexible, pragmatic and collaborative approach to problem solving
* Excellent organisational and time management skills: ability to multitask and prioritise workload

This is a 3 month initial contract and will be based in St Albans paying approximately 250.00 per day

NOTE: The successful candidate will have to undertake an enhanced CRC check (Criminal Reference Check). Checks can take up to 4 weeks to return and candidates are not able to start on-site until the checks have been received back.
