Sharepoint Farm Administrator

We are looking for a SharePoint Farm Administrator for our client, an IT Services organisation who are thought leaders in Infrastructure Services, Workspace, Connectivity and Consulting. Part of a Global organisation they have both and impressive client list and growth strategy.

In this role you would be responsible for setup and configuration of SharePoint services on server, maintenance of Outgoing and Incoming mail services, Excel Services and InfoPath Services and also have to setup and maintain user profile properties for My Sites. You also have to Liaison with AD team for the creation of security groups for leveraging in SharePoint.

In regards to System upgrades, you have to plan for and install service packs, hotfixes, updates and patches during off-peak time as required -communicate any downtime to business.

You will also responsible for Capacity planning and Governance and Change Control, which involves allocating and increasing space on web applications, site collections and My Sites, setting up and maintaining environments for the testing of custom developed solutions.

You have to supply reporting on a daily / weekly / monthly / on demand basis to business and the Helpdesk. In regards to maintenance, you will be responsible for ongoing maintenance of web front end and indexing servers, maintenance of any features, web parts, templates, solutions or third party installs, error identification, investigation and resolution

As a SharePoint Administrator you will have farm management responsibility, which includes creating web applications and Service Applications with direction from the SharePoint Architect.
You have to manually associate databases with a web application, merge existing databases, or split existing databases as required. You will have to plan hardware and software changes to move, migrate or upgrade the farm.

For this role you must have experience of:
* STSADM / PowerShell
* SQL Server 2008, 2012
* SharePoint Designer experience.
* SharePoint server administration experience in a multi-farm arena.

* MCTS 70-667 : Configuring Microsoft SharePoint 2010
* MCTS 70-668 : Administrator, Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010
